Commissioning Process
Receiving a custom piece of fine art should be a smooth and satisfying experience. To ensure this, Anne's process encourages effective communication through text and email, as well as a free in-person consultation within the Flagstaff area. Clients will receive time and price estimates, along with scheduled points during the artwork's progress for feedback.
How much does Anne charge?
Anne's current rate is $30 an hour. The price the piece will vary depending on its size, medium, and subject matter, as well as the level of detail and accuracy the client desires, the cost of supplies, and the estimated time to complete the artwork.
There are typically two types of clients:
“I’ll pay for however long it takes to look its best!” and
“I’m happy with something that’ll take around (-) hours!”
Either client is in the right place!
Can the artwork be shipped to me?
Anne doesn’t normally include framing, matting, or delivering custom art in her scope of work. Picking up the piece from Flagstaff is preferred; however, arrangements can be made separately with the client depending on the circumstances.
24 hour painting, 14x14 - $720
60 hour painting, 18x24 - $1,800
How do I get started?
1) Review the Anne Young Artistry Contract and the Piece Description form attached below to get a better understanding of the process and what you’ll need to fill out eventually.
2) Contact Anne about what you’re interested in her creating. Include relevant information about any deadlines and whether you’d be interested in an in-person consultation. Attach high-quality reference photos so she knows what to expect, and she’ll get back to you within a week with an estimate!
