Anne was born in Flagstaff Arizona, and was homeschooled in the open grassy spaces of the Doney Park neighborhood. When she wasn't playing outside with her four siblings, she spent her free time in bed drawing people on copy paper with a mechanical pencil. Much of her knowledge and enthusiasm for art was cultivated by her artistic grandmother. Anne started getting portrait commissions throughout high school, and was encouraged by family, friends, and strangers to pursue art further into college. 

 

She graduated from Coconino Community College in 2024 with her AFA and the 2023 Visual Arts Student of the Year Award. While getting her degree, she did a few drawing and painting commissions and spent two summers illustrating a now-published children’s book, Not Over the Waterfall! by Eileen Moore. She also sold her landscape painting, "A Hummy Sort of Day," to CCC for its permanent art collection and worked part time in a homeschool co-op as an art teacher for a year.

After graduating, Anne was inspired to make a business out of doing what she loved: capturing beauty and the unique faces around her with pencils and paint. She continued taking art classes at CCC through 2025 as she launched her business and was the featured signature artist at the college’s Palate to Palette fundraiser auction. Since then, her work has been displayed at Phoenix Ave. Gallery, Lund Canyon Coffee, and Brandy's Cafe and Bakery. She also participated in a First Friday Art walk in 2025 and Flagstaff's Open Studios in 2026. Her art has been awarded at the Coconino County Fair, where she continues to do live drawing demonstrations in the Fine Arts building.

Anne often looks to her own childhood and nostalgic experiences for inspiration. She is drawn especially to unposed moments that reveal a person's distinct personality or a feeling of authentic joy. This most often translates through the subject of family. Her own experience of having selfless, dedicated parents is something she desires to emulate and encourage in society through her art until she can become a parent herself. 

 

​Anne currently enjoys drawing and painting in her makeshift-garage-studio and working alongside other artists in the Flagstaff art community. She is a member of the Artist's Coalition of Flagstaff, and her work is being displayed in their art gallery in the Flagstaff Mall.
