Artist presenting drawing at auction

About the Artist

Anne was born and raised in Flagstaff, Arizona. She grew up in a homeschooling family with her four siblings, and when she wasn't playing outside she would spend hours of her free time in bed drawing people on stacks of copy paper with a mechanical pencil. Much of her knowledge and enthusiasm for art was cultivated by her artistic grandmother. Anne began getting portrait commissions in high school, and was encouraged by family, friends, and strangers to pursue art further into college.

In 2023 she received the Student of the Year Award in Fine Arts at Coconino Community College and graduated with honors in 2024 with her AFA. While pursuing her education, she also explored different angles of an artistic career by working part time as a children’s art teacher and drawing illustrations for a children’s book.

Anne is continually inspired by glimpses of truth, beauty, goodness, and humor in the world around her and she strives to show it to her viewers in a realistic and uplifting way.

Anne currently enjoys drawing and painting in her makeshift-garage-studio and working alongside other artists in the Flagstaff art community. She also loves walking in the ponderosa pine forests, accumulating too many sweaters, and watching period dramas.
